Here is what a recent buyer of the DC14 Dyson vacuum had to say about it: It works perfectly in my house, in the areas where my pets would make a big mess (mainly from shedding their hair). I could try to clean it up with my old Henry Hoover vacuum, but it just was not designed for the job. This product that I am going to review is actually designed in mind with houses that have at least one animal. Its aimed primarily at people with cats and dogs but can also be used with people who have animals like gerbils, rabbits etc if you let them run around the home for any period of time.
Firstly everyone wants a Dyson. The brand name just lets you know that it will be of high quality and this is reflected in the price. It is always worth shelling out more money for a better vacuum that will last you years than one that will break down tomorrow but is cheap. I found my Dyson DC14 Animal on-line and was amazed at the review from pet owners like me so I went ahead and bought it.
On the site it listed all the accessories that came with it and compared it to other similar models. It still has the beautiful futuristic style look that most Dyson products have. It is white and grey though so not too flashy. I think it would look better in the yellow and purple combination that you so often see. It weighs a lot about 23 pounds. It is a little heavier than most vacuums but this is due to all the accessories and the fact that it is heavy duty and expected to be in use for long periods. The Animal DC14 seems really well built too. It is made of nearly complete plastic and it has the traditional telescope which is made of metal which can be used for reaching your animals hair in the far corners.
The reach on the power cord is great as well. This allows you to pug it into a wall and move far around the house without having to plug it in once again somewhere else. It is 17 feet and you can really feel that when using it. In conclusion I am really enjoying my experience with the Dyson DC14 so far. It seems like it can get much more of the hair out of the carpets and sofas from my pet cats and dogs and only time will tell how it will turn out but I am really pleased with how it is going so far. It is another excellent product from the Dyson range.
